BEFORE TREATMENT

Each treatment is specifically tailored for you!
  • For your first appointment please arrive 15/20 minutes before your appointment is scheduled to begin
  • You will be asked to fill in a form which details your lifestyle and health e.g. injuries or illnesses. This is a confidential form used to create a treatment plan, updated with subsequent visits, allowing you to design your ultimate bodywork treatment and records the improvement of your health
  • For appointments thereafter please arrive 5/10 minutes before your appointment is scheduled to begin

 Before treatment:
  • If possible have a warm shower before your massage
  • Drink a lot of water (preferably warm or room temperature)
  • Allow yourself time to relax and enjoy the effects of the massage
  • Kindly turn off mobile phones

Things to avoid before the treatment:
  • Alcohol 24 hours before the treatment
  • A heavy meal 2-3 hours prior to your treatment

During the treatment:
  • It is not unusual for some people to experience some congestion in their sinuses due to the facedown position in the massage table face cradle, so if you need a tissue, please just ask
  • Music: if for any reason the music is too loud or soft or you'd like to have your treatment without music, please just ask
  • Room Temperature: be aware that during a massage, the lotions and oils that are applied to your skin can pull the heat out of your body or even make it seem a bit cooler in the room. If you are cold, please let me know

After the treatment:

  • Hydration: after your treatment drink lots of water in the 48 hour period following the massage session
  • To prevent soreness refrain from vigorous exercise for 24 hours after a massage, unless your massage is designed for a pre-determined sporting event
  • Light exercises like walking, jogging or swimming are recommended
  • Have a warm shower or a nice warm bath

Home visits and Home workshop for Pregnancy and Infant Massage:
  • Allow 10 minutes before and after your treatment to set up and break down the massage table and equipment (in case of Pregnancy massage)
  • For Pregnancy and Infant Massage please clear a quiet, uncluttered area in your home for your treatment, creating a space with the intention to completely relax and bring yourself and your baby into the present moment
  • You may want to select some relaxing music you prefer
  • Kindly turn off mobile phones
